My Friend Sasha
We don’t always appreciate what we have, that’s for sure! However, ONE thing I am phenomenally grateful for is the love I receive at Good Hope and being blessed with my Fur-Ever home. These humanoid Good Hopians feed me, bathe me, pet me, scratch “My Spot”, love me unconditionally and care for all of my veterinary needs. Many animals are less fortunate! I enjoy my tasks at Good Hope (mostly my cat naps on idle chairs) but a favorite job is being friend and confidante to my fuzzy friends. I enjoy helping my Good Hope “people” finding homes for some of the less fortunate souls. That said, I currently have a feline friend in need of a home. Is anyone willing to help?
Sasha is a 7-year-old feline who when I first met her was not feeling that fantabulous! She came to Good Hope with 6 bladder stones. Unfortunately, her owner just could not bear the expense required to make Sasha better. The kind-hearted veterinarians and my Good Hope people could not stand the thought of Sasha not getting the medical treatment/care she needed, so they helped nurse her back to health. Now, she is free of bladder stones, after they have all been dissolved with a special diet. Her only current issue is that she is 18 ½ pounds and more to love than she should be for a healthy kitty. She is on a special Hill’s metabolic diet and will need to be maintained on this diet until she loses approximately 5-6 lbs. and reaches her goal weight. Sasha’s new owner must be willing to take her dietary needs seriously and help her obtain a new slim/trim physique.
Sasha would be happiest in a home with no more than 2 other cats, as she requires her fair share of attention. She enjoys the canine species but only if they pose her no threat and are non-aggressive towards felines. She is up-to-date on her Rabies and Distemper vaccines and is very healthy other than her few extra pounds. She is somewhat vocal, enjoys playing with her feather toy, and of course enjoys lots of love and attention. (But WHO the heck doesn’t?) She is a domestic short hair tabby with brown, fawn, gray, and white colorings, and she has big beautiful amber-colored eyes! I think she is a stunner and am quite jealous of her beautiful features!
Over the past months, we have become great pals. She states she is really ready to find her fur-ever home! If you are interested OR if you have a friend who is looking for a fuzzy, sweet (not so little) addition to your home, please contact Heather at Good Hope Animal Hospital at 717-766-5535 ext# 105 and we can give you more details.
Thank you for tuning in to “Uno’s Corner”! Until the next time, I hope you and your fur kids stay healthy and tail-waggingly happy!
